Verifiable Credentials (VCs)
Tamper-evident digital credentials that can be cryptographically verified.
Definition
Verifiable Credentials (VCs) are a W3C standard for digital credentials that are tamper-evident and cryptographically verifiable. They consist of claims about a subject, made by an issuer, that can be independently verified without contacting the issuer.
VCs enable portable, privacy-preserving identity. A user can receive a credential (like a KYC verification) from one issuer and present it to multiple verifiers without repeating the verification process.
ByEnnen issues Verifiable Credentials through IDSentric, allowing users to prove their identity across multiple platforms with a single verification.
